Can I bring someone to meetings?
Yes. Under federal law, you have the right to bring an advocate, a friend, or a professional who has knowledge of your child to any IEP or 504 meeting.
How can I communicate more effectively with the school?
Use the “Do Better. Be Better. Have Better.®” framework. Keep the conversation focused on what actions (Do Better) the school is taking to ensure your child reaches (Have Better) graduation.
